Why Should I Go To Every Service?
This article is not a suggestion, but a command that Hebrews 10:25 clearly tells us “FORSAKE NOT THE ASSEMBLING OF YOURSELVES TOGETHER”. This comes with a warning in verse 26 “For if we sin willfully there no longer remains a sacrifice for sin.
Matthew 6:33 tells us that we should “seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added unto you”. This shows that the kingdom is more important than food, clothing and money. When we assemble with our brothers and sisters we are built up and edified and are able to go out challenged to be a better Christian, Acts 20:32”And now I command you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified”.
The church grows only when each member determines to do their part in support of the work as is said in Ephesians 4:16,
“From whom the whole body joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causing growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love”.
We should go to worship services to worship God first and set a good example. The younger people are watching what we do. Our influence is either good or bad. Our influence is either with or against Christ. Matthew 12:30 says “he who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather scatters abroad “.
How can we truly fulfill the Lord’s will when we stay home from worship services? Faithful attendance is just as important as all of God’s commands, Hebrews 10:25. This could be the easiest thing to do as God’s people.
Do we know what we have as children of God? The hope of one day being in Heaven, no pain, no sorrows, no worries and no cares of this present world. IT’S NOT EVEN 4 HOURS A WEEK. If we don’t want to be with God’s people here, Is Heaven important enough for us to be with God for eternity.
