What About Today?

Many people are still waiting for tomorrow to do what they should do today; to obey the gospel, to be restored, to live a Christian life, to bring up their children properly. The word tomorrow is probably one of the most dangerous words there is because it has robbed multitudes of success; but most of all it has robbed them of Heaven. Romans 13:11-12

There are many people in the bible you can use as example who wanted to wait for tomorrow. The parable of the great supper in Luke 14:16-18, they all wanted to wait for tomorrow. Felix is a good example in Acts24:24-27, He said go thy way for this time when I have a convenient season I will call for thee. The rich fool in Luke 12:16-21 had great plans for tomorrow. They all failed to realize that God controls tomorrow.

There is a poem by an unknown author that says:

He was going to be all that a mortal should be

                              Tomorrow

No one would be better then he

                              Tomorrow

Each morning he stacked up the letters he’d write

                              Tomorrow

It was too bad indeed he was too busy to see the bill,

But he promised to pay it

                              Tomorrow

The greatest of workers this man would have been

                              Tomorrow

The world would have known him had he ever seen

                              Tomorrow

But the fact is he died and faded from view, and all

That was left when living was through was a mountain of

   Things he intended to do

                             Tomorrow

Tomorrow may bring death; James 4:13-14.

Tomorrow may bring the judgment; Romans 14:10-12.

So what are we doing about TODAY?
